CAUTION: SCAMMERS

The majority of the people you will meet will be incredible. Along with the good, unfortunately come the bad.

Be careful of scammers and if you receive an email that seems too good to be true then realize that it might be someone trying to take advantage of you. I received a scam email with someone claiming to have Oliver. These persons will likely respond asking for money and if they do it is best to ignore it. PetFinder.com provided the following information that you may find helpful below.

The increase in activity on the Web has also resulted in an increase in unethical and illegal behavior. Due to this www.PetFinder.com has included a page of scam information during the ad submission process, just before you post your ad.

Two of the most common scams include:

1) Letters from individuals in other countries suggesting you will be a beneficiary if you help move a large amount of money to your U.S. account.

2) Contact from a person who expresses interest in an animal for sale or adoption, wants to arrange to have the animal shipped, and suggests a complicated financial transaction.

Both of these scams are an attempt obtain money. If any offer sounds too good to be true, or sounds very complicated, it probably is a scam, and should be ignored. To learn more about these types of email scams, please visit the following link:
