BUSINESS CARDS:
Make it easy for people to contact you and print out business card size flyers (2×3.5). Do this immediately or delegate and ask someone to help you.
Ask questions and talk to everyone you see.
It is more cost efficient and logical to hand out business cards or small flyers to neighbors and individuals you meet. This will allow them to have your phone number easily accessible should there be a sighting. Also, go to the grocery store and hand out cards there, as well as any parks in the area.
It is easy to print business cards off from your personal computer. You can create and print business cards by using the business card templates under “Envelopes and Labels”. Simply use regular 8.5×11 color copier paper and cut out the cards with scissors. You can also buy the Avery 8869 which are the two-sided printable Business Cards, but remember regular paper is just as easy and less expensive.
If you are unable to print business cards, bring a pen and some paper with you on your search so you can hand out your contact information to neighbors. Read more about searching best practices and tips under the “Do’s & Don’ts” section.
Remember to walk around and only hand out information in teams of two or more – Think safety first and do not go out searching alone.

FLYERS:
You will need a staple gun (or two!), duct tape and colored 11×14 or tabloid sized paper (11×17). It is best to print in color, but this can get quite expensive – At minimum print on colored paper.
Make sure not to disclose a unique features of your pet so that you can easily determine whether someone has your animal or not. Please visit the “Do’s & Don’ts” section for more information on how to create flyers.
After reading the instructions on “Do’s & Don’ts”, there is a link to FedEx Kinko’s below if you want to make flyers immediately. Typically it takes about an hour; you can order online and pick the flyers up at the closest location. There are mixed views on whether you should include a Reward amount on your flyer.
